Avoid Printing Color Images, Using Leader Characters in Microsoft Word 2007

You might have created a word document which has a lot of color images and may not wish to print them especially if you have run out of color toner. You can reduce printing color images by tweaking a few basic settings are follow,

• Open the document to be printed.
• Click on the ‘Office button’.
• Select the ‘Word Options’ button appearing at the foot of the drop-down list.
• Click the ‘Display’ tab from the left-side panel of the ‘Word Options’ dialog box.
• Uncheck the ‘Print drawings created in Word’ option appearing under the ‘Printing options’ section.
• Click “OK” to close the dialog box and processed with the printing.

Using Leader Characters:

If your professional documents have a huge of customized blank tabs, you can prefix the empty space with characters known as ‘leader character’. With the use of characters mainly help in connecting data with the tab, carry out the following steps,

• Set the location from where your text paragraph should begin.
• In the ‘Home’ tab, click the small arrow at the right side corner of the ‘Paragraph group’.
• Click the ‘Tabs’ button from the ‘Paragraph’ dialog box that appears.
• Set the ‘Tap stop position’ value, ‘Alignment’ and ‘Leader’ details in ‘Tabs’ dialog box.
• Click ‘Set’ if you create more than a single tab position.
• Once done, click ‘OK’.
